The term 'Cult Band' is usually reserved for comercially
unsuccessful acts who curry favour with the underground masses but fail to hit the nail on the head in terms of Album Sales. From the dreggs of Dublin's low society comes The Things, a cult band in thier own right. Despite the fact they have not yet released an album, their live shows and a couple of limited edition vinyl releases have placed them firmly in the shadows of notoriety with a passionate and ever growing fanbase in Europe and The U.S.
The Things were born of filth in the year 2002 in Dublin Ireland. The Things sound has bloomed over time due to a self enforced diet of outsider Rock N' Roll such as the Cramps, The Stooges, Compulsive Gamblers and The Gun Club to name but a few. Frontman Neilo Thing is notorious for his onstage depravity while his foot soldiers kick out the evil jams with military precision.
With their latest release 'Some kind of kick', like a sweaty Things concert in their hometown, is a celebreation of life and death played with effortless cool by five men who dont give a fuck about either life or death!
